James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, has signed a four-year guaranteed contract worth 79 million with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to The Athletics Shams Charania.
James's 59 million in NIL value is significantly more than every other men's college basketball player, with Austin Peay sophomore Hansel Enmanuel ranking a distant second at 1.5 million.
The deal begins at 11,571,430 in 2024-25 and progresses to 19,553,777 the following year. James averaged 28 rebounds and 21 assists in his freshman year at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California.
The 6-4, 210-pound combo guard possesses elite basketball instincts and toughness, with the ability to score from anywhere on the court. His signing with USC is a significant boost to the Trojans' basketball program, which is led by fellow Trojan Caleb Williams, who currently ranks No. 5 in the On3 NIL 100.
