Beethovenfest 2024 kicks off its opening weekend

Bonn's most important music festival gets underway

World-renowned orchestras and soloists perform in a diverse program

Bonn's Beethovenfest, one of the world's leading music festivals, kicked off its opening weekend on Friday with a diverse program of concerts featuring world-renowned orchestras and soloists. The festival, which runs until September 24, will present more than 100 concerts in various venues across the city.

The program for the opening weekend also included a number of special events, such as a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and the Bonn Philharmonic Choir, and a concert by the Bundesjugendorchester (National Youth Orchestra of Germany).
